Affiliate Disclosure
In the interest of full transparency, this page explains how Preodux uses affiliate links, how they work, and — most importantly — how they never influence what we recommend to you.
TL;DR — the short version
Some links on Preodux earn us a small commission if you buy through them. It never costs you extra, and it never decides what we recommend.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a common, widely-used practice across the internet. When Preodux links to a product on a marketplace like Amazon or Flipkart, that link may contain a special tracking code. If you click it and make a purchase, the marketplace pays us a small commission — because we sent them a customer.
This is how many trusted publications, comparison sites, and creators around the world sustain themselves — and it's one of the ways we hope to keep Preodux free to use and continuously improving.
How It Works — Step by Step
Here's exactly what happens when you click a product link on Preodux:
You click a product on Preodux
Something you discovered — a deal, a new launch, an editor's pick — catches your interest.
We redirect you to the marketplace
You're taken to Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, or wherever that product is actually sold.
You browse and decide, just like normal
You see the exact same price, offers, and product page any other shopper would see.
If you purchase, the marketplace may pay us a commission
A small percentage of the sale — paid by the marketplace, not by you.
Your price stays exactly the same
Whether you use our link or type the marketplace URL yourself — you pay the same amount either way.
Does It Cost You Anything Extra?
No. Never. The commission comes out of the marketplace's own marketing budget — not from your pocket. Here's a simple example to make it clear:
Example: Buying a ₹15,000 product
Which Platforms We're Affiliated With
We currently participate in affiliate programs with the following marketplaces, and may add more as Preodux grows:
Does This Affect What We Recommend?
This is the question we care about most, and the answer is simple: no.
Our promise: A paid partnership does not automatically mean a product becomes a Preodux recommendation. We ask one question for every product: "would this genuinely help someone make a better shopping decision?" If yes, it belongs on Preodux. If not, it doesn't — commission or no commission.
How to Identify Affiliate Content
We believe in clear labeling, not hidden fine print. Here's how we keep things transparent:
Our Editorial Independence
Our philosophy is simple: help first, monetize second. We believe a platform built around genuine user value has a far stronger foundation than one built around constantly pushing people toward purchases.
If Preodux genuinely helps you discover a product you were looking for, find a useful deal, or learn about a new launch — an affiliate transaction can naturally become the result. That's the order it happens in: value first, revenue second, never the other way around.
